July 29, 2011
Minneapolis (July 29, 2011) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is proud to be ranked first for Pro Bono in the 2012 Vault Top 100 Law Firm Survey. The firm is also highly ranked as #3 in both Training and Hours, and ranked #11 for Diversity with Respect to Minorities, and #20 for Overall Diversity. Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is listed #25 as Overall Best to Work For.
"We are delighted that associates in the top law firms around the world recognize and respect our firm's culture towards pro bono," said Anne M. Lockner, a partner of the firm and chair of the firm's Pro Bono Committee. "Our attorneys have a goal of meeting or exceeding 50 pro bono hours yearly. For the past three years, more than 7 percent of our total attorney billable time was devoted to pro bono."
"Providing pro bono service is a core value of our firm, to make a difference in the lives of our clients and provide everyone with equal access to the justice system," said Martin R. Lueck, the firm's Chairman of the Executive Board.
The firm received the National Law Journal's 2011 Pro Bono Award for its work over the last three years representing victims of Minnesota's I-35W bridge collapse. Attorneys and staff logged over 20,000 hours in free legal services to secure nearly $100 million for survivors and those who lost loved ones.
Nearly 16,000 associates worldwide responded to Vault's annual Top 100 Law Firm Survey, which provides law students and lateral attorneys with exclusive information about what it's like to work at top law firms across the country.
