Meeghan focuses on assisting clients in the construction, surety, and insurance fields. She assists with representing surety companies in the evaluation, resolution, and litigation of a variety of surety matters. She also assists with representing insurance companies in complex matters involving first-party property claims relating to catastrophic losses, including volcanic eruptions, structure collapses, and virus pandemics.
Meeghan graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and obtained certificates in Business Law and Media and Entertainment Law. During law school, she served as a Staff Editor for Spotlight: USC’s Entertainment Law Journal while simultaneously taking part in USC’s Immigration Clinic and acting as a Peer Mentor. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Before attending law school, Meeghan led a career in entertainment as a musician, during which time she released music as a solo artist before joining an all-girl pop group created by JC Chasez from *NSYNC and Golden Globe award-winning producer and songwriter Jimmy Harry. Meeghan was also Miss Teen Asia USA from 2011 to 2012 and advocated for the integration of eastern and western cultures as well as promoted living above the influence. In 2015, Meeghan received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of La Verne.
Obtained appellate victory in Bayati v. Town Square M. Properties, in which the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District affirmed the lower court’s judgment of dismissal and order sustaining the demurrer based on res judicata (claim preclusion) and collateral estoppel (issue preclusion) after two back-to-back identical lawsuits were brought by the same entity against the same individual. Meeghan was the associate on the appeal and drafted the appellate brief on which the court made its judgment. (Prior to joining Robins Kaplan LLP).
