Associate

Experience
Pooja Parekh is an Intellectual Property and Technology attorney who draws on her experience in technology and in the courtroom to zealously advocate on behalf of her clients in all stages of intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining Robins Kaplan, Pooja gained extensive courtroom experience as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. While an ADA, Pooja was first-chair on a domestic violence jury trial and indicted 20+ serious felony domestic violence cases in the grand jury.
During law school, Pooja honed her persuasive writing skills as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Andrew L. Carter Jr. for the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. Pooja also gained extensive courtroom experience as a legal intern at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Pooja continued to stay cognizant of developments in technology during law school as a member of the NYC Bar Association Information Technology and Cyberlaw Committee. In addition, Pooja studied abroad at the University of Law, London for a summer and took coursework in Cybercrime and International Data Privacy Law.
Prior to law school, Pooja started her career as an engineer at General Electric as part of the competitive Edison Engineering Development Program. Pooja gained knowledge in a broad range of technologies, including train control software, utility batteries, and gas turbine controls software. Pooja also gained her Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering part-time while working as an engineer at General Electric.
In her free time, Pooja enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and exploring the Broadway shows and museums in New York City.
