Christine Ostby, R.N.
Legal Nurse Consultant

Experience
I began my career as a registered nurse in Ontario, Canada as a nurse on a special unit for urological surgery. I then took the opportunity to become a traveling nurse, working throughout the United States for a variety of hospitals to support their staffing needs. This experience brought many exciting challenges in a variety of settings and gave me the opportunity to explore America from a unique perspective. Advancing my skills along the way, I have provided care for patients in Medical/Surgical Units, Cardiac Monitoring Units, Intensive Care, Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments.
I also worked as a critical resource nurse helping other nurses solve problems in patient care. This experience led me to a position as clinical coordinator for a nurse staffing agency. Eventually, I opened my own nurse staffing agency, which operated as one of the most respected agencies in the area. The culmination of my experiences led me to my current position as a legal nurse consultant with Robins Kaplan LLP. My career of first-hand experiences, in all kinds of settings, and my years of accumulated knowledge are a valuable resource to our mass tort and medical malpractice lawyers, so we can better serve our clients.
