Allegra LaBat is an Associate Attorney in the American Indian Law and Policy and Business Litigation Groups. Allegra is a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, a tribe located Okmulgee, Oklahoma. While Allegra was born and raised far from her tribal home, she has deep love for her culture and aims to be a staunch advocate for Indigenous interests throughout the country.
Prior to joining Robins Kaplan, Allegra was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Wier in the Eastern District of Kentucky. During her clerkship, Allegra assisted Judge Wier with five federal criminal trials, as well as drafted several opinions on various civil matters.
Allegra proudly graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received her Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School. While at Columbia Law, Allegra served as the president of the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA), the Development Editor on the Columbia Journal of Race and Law, and the Admissions and Alumnae Chair of Empowering Women of Color (EWOC). Additionally, Allegra was a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.
