
Overview
Kevin Burns is a litigation associate in the firm’s Insurance and Catastrophic Loss practice group in the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin represented employees in wage theft, discrimination, and retaliation matters, securing wins on jurisdictional and dispositive motions and obtaining six- and seven-figure settlements for his clients. He has managed cases in California state courts, federal district courts, and federals courts of appeals, and has resolved cases through settlement, mediation, and arbitration.
Kevin earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was an active member of the student body. He served as staff editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, President of the Loyola Sports Law Association, and Vice President during Loyola’s first year of partnership with Parents, Educators/Teachers, and Students in Action (PESA). Kevin also competed with law schools and legal institutions around the world as an oral arguer for Loyola’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team. Before law school, Kevin earned dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and public policy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and golf, taking his two rescue dogs on neighborhood walks, and finding new restaurants and shops to explore.
