Experience
Andrew Kabat is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent and trademark litigation. He has experience representing clients large and small in a wide range of technologies. Andrew uses his background in biomedical engineering to assist his clients in maximizing the value of their intellectual property. Litigation is not one size fits all, and Andrew works with his clients to develop an appropriate strategy for their business goals.
Andrew attended law school at Washington University in Saint Louis where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Andrew was the Managing Editor for the school’s Global Studies Law Review, and served as treasurer for the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also worked in the Intellectual Property and Nonprofit Organizations Clinic, providing guidance to local companies seeking to protect their intellectual property rights.
Before joining Robins Kaplan LLP, Andrew worked at an IP boutique firm in Saint Louis, Missouri. There, his practice included all aspects of intellectual property litigation as well as patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
