Overview

Jackie Fielding is an associate in the firm’s business litigation practice, with an emphasis on complex civil and healthcare litigation matters. Jackie has represented clients in many jurisdictions across the country, appearing in federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims, and the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Jackie has a significant history of public interest lawyering and pro bono work. Jackie’s pro bono experience touches on a wide variety of topics, including criminal justice reform, policing oversight and reform, reproductive rights and access, conditions of confinement, criminal sentence reduction, veteran’s benefits, housing advocacy, innocence work, and immigration.

Jackie received a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from the College of Charleston, and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, she interned with the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Department, Special Litigation Section; and the ACLU of Minnesota.

After law school, Jackie completed a two-year Robina Public Interest Scholar Fellowship at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, where she focused on criminal justice reform and ending mass incarceration. She then clerked for the Honorable Taryn A. Merkl, Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Jackie also worked as a business litigator at a New York City law firm before joining Robins Kaplan.
