Experience
Luis Gomez is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation and Insurance Groups. Prior to joining the firm, Luis clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Rozella A. Oliver in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. During his last year of law school, Luis externed at the California Court of Appeal, First District and at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to law school, Luis had a long career in public service. He worked as a consultant to public school in southern California, assisting them in managing their federal reimbursement programs. He worked at a disability legal services organization where he assisted the Executive Director with everything from fundraising to legislative advocacy. Luis also worked at the California Community Foundation where he collaborated with his team members to provide grant funding to immigration and civic engagement focused nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles County.
- Awarded the Wiley M. Manuel Pro Bono Certificate by the California Lawyers Association for providing at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services (2023)
