Experience
Vivian Enck has more than 35 years of experience in complex litigation support focusing on process and technology solutions for discovery, information governance, and legal department and law firm management. Her role within the Robins Kaplan LLP Ediscovery group is to consult with the firm’s clients to develop tailored preservation and collection strategies that maximize efficiencies while reducing costs at every stage of the discovery cycle. Vivian also consults with clients on good practices for information governance including data management, records retention, security and privacy.
Prior to joining Robins Kaplan, Vivian spent four years at a multinational financial consultancy firm as the director of legal consulting, where she provided legal consulting services focusing on ediscovery, legal services and applications, process engineering, outside counsel management, and data management. Vivian developed and implemented complex discovery framework and process workflows and was instrumental in the development of corporate information management solutions to handle client data, including intellectual property. She also consulted with corporate and law firm clients on the efficient and effective use of database tools, including analysis of data metrics. In addition to data retentions process work, Vivian also consulted with clients on compliance, data privacy and security matters.
Vivian served as a senior manager for a Big Four professional services firm. In that role, she managed complex litigation support projects and defined discovery management stages and process workflows, managing relevance and privilege attorney document review projects with contract attorney teams. Vivian also worked with clients to develop and implement legal support tools and processes to meet the demands of the corporate law department and law firm, including implementation of document management systems, email platforms, contract management and electronic invoice applications. Furthermore, she assisted corporate law department clients with information governance projects.
Vivian served multiple roles for a legal services agency, including database training specialist, project manager, image scanning supervisor, and litigation team training specialist. In addition to consulting with legal teams and clients, Vivian managed many complex litigation projects with the latest database and analytics tools and established the 24/7 litigation support IT Help Desk. Vivian traveled throughout the country setting up litigation production databases and image workstations and then training discovery attorneys and trial teams in the effective use of the litigation databases before and during trial.
Vivian’s consulting experience spans a wide variety of business and industry areas, including retail, manufacturing, agriculture, energy (oil and gas), technology, life sciences (pharma, medical devices), entertainment, education, legal, financial, insurance, food/culinary, and construction.- B.A. in Political Science
