Experience
Alexandra Carthew is an attorney in the Business Litigation Group at Robins Kaplan LLP who enjoys bringing creative problem solving, a dogged persistence, and a passion for client service to every case. Prior to joining the firm, Alexandra served as a judicial law clerk for the North Dakota Supreme Court. Following her clerkship, Alexandra grew her practice in a number of areas, including labor, employment, and higher education, as well as financial services. Prior to joining the firm, Alexandra negotiated a favorable settlement for a major health care network, dealt with complex arbitration issues, and gained valuable litigation experience drafting complaints, answers, and motions.
Alexandra graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota School of Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers upon graduation. During law school, Alexandra served as the Editor-in-Chief of the North Dakota Law Review, as well as the Symposium Editor of the law review, and was named the 2018 Moot Court internals champion. As a law student, Alexandra also summered with an AmLaw 200 firm in Minneapolis, interned with the North Dakota Legislative Council, and externed at the Office of the Federal Public Defender.
