Robins Kaplan LLP secured a $3.54 million jury verdict on behalf of a client who suffered serious complications following a medical procedure.

The lawsuit alleged that the client was not adequately informed of less invasive treatment options before undergoing the procedure and that the procedure itself was not performed in accordance with the standard of care. The resulting injuries required emergency treatment, additional surgeries, and an extended hospitalization.

At trial, the Robins Kaplan team presented evidence regarding the available treatment alternatives, the applicable standard of care, and the significant impact of the injuries on the client’s life. The jury returned a $3.54 million verdict in the client’s favor.

The verdict reflects Robins Kaplan’s longstanding commitment to representing individuals and families in complex medical malpractice matters and seeking accountability when medical care results in serious, preventable harm.

The Robins Kaplan trial team included Ethan Adams and Peter Schmit.
