Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Rashanda Bruce has been honored with Mitchell Hamline’s Recent Alumni Award, which recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their community, the legal profession, or the law school within the first ten years following graduation.

Bruce, a 2018 graduate of Mitchell Hamline, represents clients in complex product liability, wrongful death, and mass tort litigation. In one of her most notable recent achievements, she helped secured a $7.75 million verdict—later increased to nearly $10.5 million—against CRC Industries for its role in the death of a Minnesotan mother. The groundbreaking case, which involved the misuse of the company’s aerosol duster product, drew national attention to product safety and corporate accountability. Other case victories include a $7.5 million verdict following a fatal shooting incident and a $650,000 settlement in a wrongful death case involving alleged failures in mental health care.

Bruce has earned widespread recognition for her leadership and professional excellence, including repeated recognition on Lawdragon's 500 X – The Next GenerationThe Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, and Super Lawyers’ Minnesota Rising Stars. Beyond her legal practice, she serves on the boards of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and Prodeo Academy. She also volunteers as a housing court attorney with the nonprofit Volunteer Lawyers Network and coaches competitive cheerleading.

Bruce will be recognized at Mitchell Hamline’s Alumni Awards Reception on Friday, October 10. Learn more here.
