
Sandy Keith (1928-2020). A colorful character who loved people, Sandy Keith lived a long and active life full of many accomplishments that shaped the Minnesota legal community. He served in all three branches of Minnesota government—as state legislator, lieutenant governor, and associate justice and later chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Adam talked about the path of Chief Justice Keith’s life and accomplishments. A native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, he clerked for Chief Justice Keith after graduating from Harvard Law School in 1996. Later, he also clerked for Justice Stevens on the United States Supreme Court. In between and after his clerkships, Adam worked as an associate at Robins Kaplan LLP for several years, before teaching full time.
