Development and Advancement
Driving Future Leaders Toward Inclusive Excellence.
Robins Kaplan LLP supports the development of attorneys and staff members throughout all stages of their careers. To foster personal and professional growth, we have implemented numerous initiatives to develop, advance, and empower lawyers and aspiring lawyers from all backgrounds.
Pipeline and Outreach Programs
From their high school years through law school, we prepare and inspire future diverse attorneys through a variety of programs. These programs include: diversity summer clerkships, mock trial programs, diversity-oriented career fairs, and internships for diverse high school students. Each year the firm also hosts Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization, where students interested in the legal profession participate in attorney seminars on networking, professionalism, and courtroom etiquette.
Diversity & Inclusion Education
Robins Kaplan provides education and training to firm members that foster an inclusive and supportive work environment. The firm organizes events for Black History Month, International Women’s Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, Pride Month, as well as Disability Justice seminars. The firm’s annual Attorneys of Color Conference is a platform for minority attorneys to discuss common concerns, share individual experiences, and enhance professional development. Other diversity topics of focus include women’s leadership, diversity awareness, and unconscious bias.
Promoting Diversity in the Community
Robins Kaplan encourages and sponsors our attorneys’ participation in outside national and local diversity organizations and affinity bar groups. Through the Robins Kaplan Private Foundation, we also sponsor a variety of diverse nonprofit organizations and programs.
