Experienced Trial Attorney Joins New York Office

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer Jones has joined the firm’s New York Office as counsel. A seasoned trial attorney, Ms. Jones has a decade of legal experience spanning both military and Department of Justice service.  Throughout her career, she has first-chaired over four dozen jury and bench trials, with casework ranging from arson to murder to bank fraud to criminal antitrust.

Prior to joining Robins Kaplan, Ms. Jones worked as a criminal litigation consultant for the Department of Justice, where she advised government trial teams on all aspects of trial preparation and strategy.  She also served as an assistant United States attorney in North Dakota.

As a U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG), Ms. Jones advised military legal offices on the proper prosecution of sexual assault cases and trained law enforcement and attorneys on best practices for investigating sexual assault cases and the treatment of victim-witnesses.  She led numerous trainings worldwide in all areas of trial management, from voir dire to closing arguments.

“Jennifer comes to us with a unique background.  Her military service has taken her all over the world, exposing her to a wide variety of legal challenges,” said Hollis Salzman, co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice Group. “Her extensive trial experience will be a tremendous asset to the firm and our clients.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Robins Kaplan and its elite group of trial attorneys,” Ms. Jones said. “I am proud of the work I’ve done in the public sector, and now look forward to providing the highest level of legal services to Robins Kaplan’s clients.”

Prior to retiring from the United States Air Force, Ms. Jones served as an enlisted airman in New Jersey, Colorado, and South Korea for four years and as a squadron section commander in Georgia, South Korea, and Italy for five years.

Jones earned her J.D. with honors from State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, and an undergraduate degree from Weber State University.
