Robins Kaplan Partner Richard Martinez Named to The National Law Journal’s Inaugural List of "Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazers"
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Richard (Rick) Martinez, Chair of the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Litigation Group, has been named to The National Law Journal’s first-ever “Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazers” list. Rick is of only 50 attorneys honored.
Developed by The National Law Journal, the "Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazers" list honors attorneys who have "made a difference in the fight against criminal cyber activity and towards adding much needed layers of data security in an increasingly digital world of commerce." The recipients were chosen from a pool of hundreds of nominees.
Rick was honored in part for his dedication to advising clients of emerging cybersecurity risks. According to Rick, while responding to incidents is important, "just as important is the counseling that gets done ahead of time. You need to identify not just technology risks, but the hand-in-glove relationship between tech consultants and lawyers."
