Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Attorney Jennifer Robbins Chosen for 2013 Leadership Council On Legal Diversity Fellows Program

Jennifer Robbins

Minneapolis (March 2013) – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. has chosen Jennifer Robbins to be a member of the 2013 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Ms. Robbins joins a class of 160 attorneys-- the largest class of Fellows yet--from around the country who have been selected as LCLD Fellows for 2013.

“Jennifer was a natural fit for this distinction,” said Marla Butler, Assistant Regional Managing Partner, New York and Chair of Firm’s Diversity Committee. “She is a bright and talented leader. She will hone these and other skills in the program, which will deepen her professional development and assist in her relationship with clients.”

“We are excited that another attorney in our Firm has been chosen to be a part of this dynamic program,” added Steven A. Schumeister, the firm’s Managing Partner and an LCLD member. “Jennifer is an outstanding candidate and embodies the characteristics this firm seeks in choosing attorneys who will lead and succeed in their profession and in turn, be a mentor for others to help them become leaders.”

The Fellows Program is one of several initiatives launched by LCLD since the organization’s creation in 2009. LCLD has also developed innovative programs to address pipeline issues that face the profession, encouraging minorities and women to enter the law and supplying programs to increase their likelihood of success in law school and beyond.

The LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, virtual and in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership,” said Robert Grey, Executive Director of the LCLD.

Ms. Robbins is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. Her experience includes representing corporations and individuals in a variety of business litigation matters, including contract and antitrust disputes.
