NEW YORK (May 2011) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to announce the arrival of Richard A. Mescon to the firm's New York office as Of Counsel. Mr. Mescon will be part of the firm's Business Litigation group. He was previously with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, where he served for four years as leader of the New York Litigation group.

Mr. Mescon is an experienced commercial trial lawyer with an extensive trial record in "bet the company" cases in state and federal courts throughout the country. He has wide experience in a variety of subject areas, including business acquisition, securities, products liability, patent and trademark, trade secret, labor and employment, and white collar criminal matters. He has argued cases in federal and state appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Mescon is currently chair of the board of trustees of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. A former Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, he earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was an Editor of the Law Review.
