Minneapolis, MN (March 20, 2015) Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partner Kathleen Edmond has been selected as the 2015 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award given by Women in Compliance at a black tie event in London. Edmond was one of four women who had been shortlisted for the award, including the Debarment and Sanctions Officer for the World Bank. Nomination for this significant recognition was open to women in compliance or regulatory positions in law firms, corporations, private enterprise, and non-profit organizations worldwide.
Ms. Edmond was chosen as the winner of the 2015 award based on her early use of social media and transparency as Chief Ethics Officer of Best Buy, her broad, positive impact on the field of corporate compliance and ethics, and her willingness to explore and share cutting-edge practices with colleagues across industries. The award also recognized Edmond's move to Robins Kaplan as a way she has chosen to continue sharing her experience with others and making a broader, ongoing impact in the field of corporate compliance.
“Kathleen has shown herself to be an innovative leader in her field time and time again,” said Chris Madel, Chairman of Robins Kaplan’s Business Litigation Group. “We could not be prouder of her and this well-deserved international recognition of her impact on compliance and ethics.”
