Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. attorney Melissa Wendland has been elected Secretary for the Civil Litigation Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) for 2013-2014. Ms. Wendland, an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office, practices in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability and other torts involving wrongdoers.
A life-long Minnesotan, Ms. Wendland began her practice as a business litigation attorney gained an in-depth understanding of the issues that businesses and corporations consider during litigation. She uses that understanding to help her individuals and the families navigate, assess, and recover the best compensation available in their cases. Melissa offers guidance, support and effective, transformative advocacy to individuals and the families of those whose lives have been changed because of someone else’s carelessness.
Ms. Wendland is a mother of three and a graduate of Harvard and William Mitchell College of Law. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Harvard Women’s Ice Hockey Team—a career highlighted with the team winning a national championship. She is also an active member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the MSBA.
