New York (May 2011) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., a nationally renowned law firm, is pleased to announce that Matthew B. McFarlane has joined the firm's New York office as an associate focusing on Intellectual Property Litigation.
Mr. McFarlane is well versed in handling the trial of intellectual property matters in a variety of industries including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical devices and consumer products. He is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Matt beings a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise but also is an extremely accomplished advocate."
Mr. McFarlane earned his J.D., from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to law school he earned his Ph.D. as a Ford Foundation and NIH predoctoral fellow in Molecular & Cellular Physiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Mr. McFarlane also performed original research in Neuroscience as a postdoctoral research associate at Stanford University and New York University School of Medicine. Mr. McFarlane received his Sc.B., Biochemistry, with honors, from Brown University.
