Ryan is an intellectual property associate focusing his practice on complex patent and business litigation. Ryan represents a broad spectrum of clients, from individual inventors to Fortune 500 companies. He helps his clients navigate multi-million dollar disputes and successfully communicate complicated legal and technical issues to decision makers. Ryan enjoys learning the ins and outs of new industries and new technologies in order to become a better advocate for his client’s interests.
Ryan graduated summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. While in school, Ryan served on both the William Mitchell Law Review and the William Mitchell Journal of Law & Practice. He was also a finalist in the Rosalie Wahl Moot Court Competition and represented William Mitchell in the New York City Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition.
Outside the classroom, Ryan solved real-world problems while working for the legal department of a major reinsurance broker. Ryan also worked as an extern for the Honorable Joan N. Ericksen, U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. On Tuesday nights, Ryan volunteered his time in the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services Volunteer Attorney Clinic, helping to ensure equal access to effective legal advocacy.
