Megan has extensive experience representing clients in personal injury cases including products liability and sexual abuse cases. She has a special focus on pharmaceutical and medical device multidistrict litigations (MDLs). Megan also has experience in employment claims, including class actions and EEOC charges.
Megan was part of the trial and litigation team for the first bellwether case selected for trial in the MDL involving the smoking-cessation drug Chantix. The case was the first scheduled for trial of approximately 2,500 filed cases. The case was resolved as part of a confidential settlement on the eve of trial. Megan then served on the trial and litigation team for the second bellwether case scheduled for trial in the Chantix MDL. That case was also resolved confidentially prior to trial.
In 2015, Megan was appointed to the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee in an MDL case involving the Ethicon Power Morcellator. This case is the first one in which an MDL steering committee is majority women.
Some of her other past cases included C.A.H. v. Holden, a single plaintiff sexual abuse case resulting in a $10.5 million jury verdict in client’s favor. She was also a member of the trial team in Vascular Solutions, Inc. v. Marine Polymer that obtained $4.5 million dollar jury verdict and defeated $40 million counterclaim in a product disparagement and defamation case.
