Marie Roehm has 35 years of experience with insurance coverage and claims handling issues, representing insurers in California and nationally. Ms. Roehm works with her clients on issues arising throughout a policy’s lifespan, providing advice and, when needed, conflict resolution, including arbitration or civil litigation. Ms. Roehm is prepared to represent her clients’ interests through the appellate process.
Most of Ms. Roehm’s insurance work arises from commercial general liability and property policies. She has represented clients in informal and formal coverage disputes, claims handling programs, and individual complex or catastrophic claims. She has also evaluated claims, prepared pleadings and motions, handled discovery, and argued appeals.
Ms. Roehm has experience in a variety of other areas of civil litigation and transactions. She finds research and analysis, both legal and factual, fascinating and enjoys being part of a team serving a client. In addition to practicing law, Ms. Roehm owns and manages a horse boarding and training facility in Napa County, an experience that gives her insight into many aspects of the equine community.
