Participated as key member of trial team in American Steamship Company v. Hallett Dock Company, et al, a federal maritime case in the District of Minnesota. A federal jury awarded our client American Steamship Company $4,682,322.55 for repair damages and lost business income after an 11-day trial. The district court also awarded our client $2,398,888.54 in prejudgment interest. The jury determined Hallett Dock Company was 100% at fault for the holing of the M/V Walter J. McCarthy Jr., a 1,000 foot-long vessel operating in the Great Lakes.
Successfully obtained order dismissing a criminal suit against local executive employee.
