The mission of the Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi Foundation for Children is to serve as a catalyst for creative, innovative, and systems-changing programs to achieve a long-term impact in promoting education and equal opportunities for all Minnesotans.
In short: we want to give our children a fighting chance to rewrite the future.
Though systematic change in the areas of social justice and public health are very much in our hearts, every year education seems to be a larger part of our efforts. In 2014, the Foundation for Children awarded 20 grants totaling $1,803,000, and every single dollar went toward the improvement of some part of our education system.
The shift is not an accident. Our children will write the future. If that story is to have a happy ending, we must provide our kids with the tools they’ll need to overcome the myriad challenges they’ll face, whether they’re preparing to enter kindergarten or embarking on the journey to college.
Education shouldn’t be a gamble. Together, let’s rewrite our children’s odds of success.
